On 2001-07-28 Karlsruhe City Grid, "Central" Germany, hosted its 36th official Netrunner tournament. At 35 degrees Celsius only 6 players showed up - the rest was probably somewhere close to the water... We played a draft format with 1 double starter, 1 limited booster and 3 rareless Proteus boosters (thanks, Jennifer!) per player. Each player kept the vitals from his starters, then the remaining cards from each starter were shuffled and divided into three stacks of 16/17 respectively 15 cards. These stacks went round the table first until depletion, with each player drafting one card per turn. Afterwards the boosters were drafted from. We had intended to play 4 rounds Swiss system, but in round 4 there was no possible pairing left without two players meeting who had already played each other, so we had to lift this restriction.
